Given the time, I guess "You Can Do It Too" can almost serve as a skeleton track, if held in that regard.Īnd speaking of Jay. "You Can Do It Too" when then have to be the highlight of this LP, though a better version of this song would be "So Ambitious" off of Jay-Z's "The Blueprint 3", since the theme is in the same vein. I was disappointed to hear an album full of ballads at an attempt to land another single on the charts circa '06, as opposed to the boasts that Pharell has become known for when he throws out 16 bars. On the album opener and lead single, "Can I Have It Like That?", Pharell had a bragadocious style and a chip on his shoulder that I wanted to hear more of.
